Before Vanessa’s trial.
Alicia said it mattered.
“He is not hiding behind her.”
In court, he stood and admitted he slapped me.
No excuses.
No “I was under stress.”
No “I thought she stole.”
Just the truth.
“I struck Maria Lopez after accusing her without proof. I was wrong.”
The judge ordered probation, anger management, restitution, and a formal apology.
I did not attend in person.
I watched by video from Alicia’s office.
When it ended, I cried.
Lucia asked if they were good tears.
