Daniel pled guilty before the jury reached deliberation.
The footage destroyed him.
Victor also took a plea after multiple cases were joined.
Daniel received probation with jail time, mandatory treatment, no unsupervised custody during Lily’s minority without court review, and restitution for therapy and legal costs.
Victor received prison time.
Madison completed her sentence and disappeared from our lives.
At sentencing, I spoke.
“My daughter was not a prop in her father’s divorce strategy. She was not a bridge for another woman. She was not a tool to make me look unstable. She was a terrified six-year-old child whose father watched someone hurt her.”
My voice shook.
I let it.
“Daniel did not make one mistake. He made a plan. And the only reason it failed is because I came home early.”
Daniel cried.
Lily was not there.
