Chapter 13

Arthur Langley tried to settle quietly.

Alicia advised me to accept only under certain terms.

No confidentiality.

Public apology to restaurant staff.

Donation to a hospitality worker legal fund.

Compensation for emotional distress.

And a permanent ban from the restaurant group.

Arthur refused.

Then the full security footage leaked.

Not by me.

Not by Alicia.

Probably by someone in the kitchen who was tired of rich men behaving badly.

The full video showed everything.

The snapping.

The insults.

The money hitting my face.

The shoe.

Peter looking away.

Thomas standing.

“You just threw money at my daughter.”

The internet loved that line.

I hated that my humiliation became content.

But I loved that Arthur could not shrink it.

His board removed him from two projects.

His wife filed for separation.

The old private club story resurfaced.

So did others.

Arthur finally settled publicly.

His apology was stiff.

Legal.

Unbeautiful.

But it existed.

Peter resigned from the restaurant after staff demanded changes.

Maya became assistant manager.

She made one new rule first.

May you like

“If a customer throws anything at staff, they leave. Money included.”

Good rule.
