Chapter 6

The divorce proceedings were brutal.

Daniel fought everything.

He claimed I was unstable. That I was an angry wife trying to ruin him. That I had fabricated the evidence.

But the credit card records didn't lie.

The Airbnb bookings didn't lie.

The messages from Sophia didn't lie.

And the necklace—engraved with another woman's name—spoke louder than any words.

His lawyer tried to paint me as vengeful. As a woman scorned.

My lawyer stood up and held up the credit card statements.

"These are not the actions of a scorned woman," she said. "These are the actions of a wife and mother who discovered her husband was using family funds to finance an affair. While their daughter went without new shoes."

She looked at Daniel.

"He didn't just cheat on his wife. He stole from his own child."

The judge nodded.

I saw Daniel's face fall.
