Chapter 10

I never forgot that day in the courtyard.
The pain. The fear. The moment my hand stung from the slap.
But I also remember the silence after. The moment everyone saw the truth. The moment the crowd turned from hating me to standing with me.
I learned something important:
You don't have to stay on your knees just because someone tries to push you there.
You don't have to apologize for defending yourself.
And you certainly don't have to let anyone’s lies become your truth.
Stand tall. Speak clear. And when they try to drag you down… stand up even higher.
May you like
Because lies are loud. But the truth?
The truth is louder.
